Edward Chang

Edward Chang

Edward Chang is a 2VP for Cyber Risk Management at the Travelers Companies, where he is involved in underwriting, risk control, and catastrophe analysis for the company’s cyber insurance products. Before joining the Travelers in February, he was a federal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York and the District of Connecticut, where he focused on prosecuting Romanian phishers, Nigerian fraudsters, and other sundry cybercriminals. In 2015, he received the Director’s Award for Superior Performance by an Assistant United States Attorney in connection with the extradition and prosecution of thirteen defendants from Romania, Bulgaria, Sweden, and Canada who had been engaged in a “phishing” conspiracy. In 2012, he and his team were awarded the Attorney General’s Distinguished Service Award for successfully executing the first U.S. law enforcement effort against a botnet. He was previously employed by the Microsoft Corporation as a software development engineer in its Advanced Technology Division. He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1994 from Stanford University and a J.D. in 1998 from the Yale Law School.

IIANC Chief Executive Officer

Aubie W. Knight, CIC, CRM is Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC) and has held the position since November 2014.

Knight has over 21 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining IIANC, he served as Chief Executive Officer of the Independent Insurance Agents of Georgia (IIAG). During his 18-year tenure with IIAG, Knight gained senior management experience in all aspects of the association’s operations as well as served on numerous committees and task forces for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (Big “I”).

A graduate of the University of Georgia (UGA), Aubie was a part-time instructor of risk management & insurance classes in the UGA Terry College of Business for seven years. He served as Chairman of the Board for the Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) in 2013 and is a 2009 graduate of GSAE’s Leadership Academy. He has earned both the Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Management designations from The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.

Throughout his career, Aubie has conducted hundreds of continuing education seminars and has been a keynote speaker at industry events across the country, where he focuses on helping agents recognize and respond to industry, technology, and societal changes.

Aubie and his wife Dana are the parents of five daughters. He is a loyal supporter of the American Red Cross and an active member with Madison First United Methodist Church. During his weekends, Aubie enjoys competing in triathlons, road races, obstacle course races and attending various collegiate sporting events.
