Friday, March 4th is National Employee Appreciation Day, when many employers across the country stop to show gratitude for the hard work their staff does all year long. With as a great a staff as ours, CSP also took the chance to recognize our team with an undeniably fun Employee Appreciation Day Event.

The day started off with a wonderful breakfast with foods accompanied by light-hearted notes of appreciation; such as, “Thanks a Latte for all you do” tags hanging from Starbucks Frappuccinos; a colorful bowl of mandarin oranges, tagged “Orange we glad you are a part of the team,” and muffins with notes that said, “Muffin to do but appreciate you.” Lunch featured sandwiches, fruit, chips and desserts along with similarly witty notes.

Following lunch, staff members where teamed up for an afternoon of fun activities. Everyone enjoyed playing a variety of solo cup challenges; including, a solo ball toss race, a solo cup stacking race and a number of games using solo cups – one team member called it the “Solo Cup Olympics.”. The winning teams received prizes with clever messages of appreciation such as, “Thanks for coming through in a crunch,” with a Nestle Crunch bar, and “Thanks for putting the EXTRA in extraordinary,” along with a pack of Extra Chewing Gum.

The games ended with a rousing match of Pantyhose Bowling, in which team members wore a pantyhose on their head with a golf ball inside one leg, with the objective of swinging the ball to knock over water bottles placed on the floor.

CSP’s CEO, Bill Riddick, sent out an email expressing his appreciation of the staff, writing:

“Team,

I understand today is recognized throughout the U.S. as Employee Appreciation Day. I want to tell you how much you are appreciated by me. The strength and success of CSP is all about our wonderful staff. We have a great team. Thank you especially for your talents, enthusiasm, dedication, and sacrifices. You are wonderful! Have a great day, and a nice weekend!”

Everyone enjoyed the afternoon of food, fun and team building. CSP’s Business Manager, Margie Figueroa and VP of Support Services, Scott Forbes coordinated and conducted the wonderful event. Once again, the management at CSP would like to thanks its staff for all the hard work they’ve done this year.
