Cloud Computing and Virtualization Engineer

CSP, Inc. is a rapidly growing Managed Services & IT Solutions Provider in North Carolina. The optimal candidate has experience and a proven track-record in supporting a variety of computing technologies with an IT solutions provider such as CSP with a strong desire to provide team leadership.

Client ENGINEER II (RRT)

Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides the technical support necessary for the diagnosis and resolution of problems presented primarily from (1) customer calls, (2) tickets created as the result of electronic communications from the customer, and (3) tickets transferred from the NOC team that are unable to be closed.
  • Takes ownership of issues relating to customer issues, develops a plan for resolution, and proactively communicates with the customer as appropriate during the resolution process.
  • Must be able to handle all Tier I & II technical issues presented. When possible, Tier III technical support should also be provided.
  • Accepts ownership of assigned tickets and diligently works them to closure, or transfers ticket to senior engineers, according to Service Level Agreement.
  • Must be able to recognize, research, isolate, and present a resolution to complex technical issues.
  • When appropriate, proactively engages with manufacturer technical support as necessary to resolve problems.
  • Before leaving the office daily, has all assigned and outstanding Severity I or II tickets resolved, or appropriately transferred to a senior engineer and customer updated. For all newly assigned tickets, initial customer contact must have been made, or attempted to be made (with message or email), according to the Service Level Agreement.
  • Collaborate with CSP clients and other departments within CSP to coordinate the most appropriate path to resolution for technical issues.

Minimum Technical Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ progressive technical experience in the support of information technology solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems, Microsoft server operating systems, including Active Directory, Group Policies, terminal services, RDP, etc.
  • Fundamental understanding of networking technologies.
  • Fundamental understanding of virtual deployments from VMware, Citrix, and\or Microsoft.
  • Experience supporting data backup systems, AV platforms, etc.
  • Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to positively contribute to a dynamic and exciting team environment.
  • A two-year associate’s degree in a computer related field, A+ and/or Network+ certification, other related vendor specific certification, or commensurate experience.

Desired Technical Qualifications:

  • A successful track record working for another Managed Services Provider (MSP)
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and\or Office 365.
  • Experience in supporting VMware and\or Citrix environments.
  • Experience with Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, servers, wireless networks, and security best practices.
  • Experience working with Autotask, N-able, or comparable PSA and RMM tools.

Cloud Computing and Virtualization Engineer

CSP, Inc. offers an outstanding career opportunity for an engineer with considerable experience implementing and supporting server, storage, and virtualization technologies utilizing VMware, Citrix, and\or Microsoft. This engineer must also be a subject matter expert in the design and deployment of public and private cloud solutions.

This role allows the candidate to lead in architecting the most appropriate cloud and data center solutions to address a variety of business needs for CSP’s clients. It also provides the candidate the opportunity to enhance his/her skill set by working in a wide range of customer environments.

Primary Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership in the design of Cloud and Virtualization Solutions
  • Design and implement public and private cloud solutions including virtual servers and SANs
  • Design and implement on-premise virtualization solutions including servers and SANs
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support as necessary to insure technology solutions are properly optimized
  • Maintain focus on continuing education as Cloud solutions evolve

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4+ years experience implementing and supporting server and virtualization solutions
  • Extensive experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Citrix
  • Experience with Cloud solutions from AWS, Rackspace, Microsoft, etc.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies, including Active Directory, Exchange, and SQL
  • Experience with server and SAN solutions from manufacturers such as IBM, EMC, and/or NetApp
  • Ability to analyze, research, and lead the trouble-shooting efforts of complex technical problems
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, organization, and leadership skills
  • Ability to positively contribute to a dynamic and exciting team environment

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pertinent certifications from VMware, Citrix, and\or Microsoft
  • Experience with Cisco solutions including routing, switching, servers, and voice platforms
  • Four year college degree, or commensurate educational background

IT Sales Executive

Position Summary:

CSP is seeking an experienced Sales Executive with a proven track record in the consultative selling of Information Technology solutions and services. Experience selling Managed Services, Unified Communications, IP Telephony, Data Center, and/or network security solutions is preferred. CSP represents some of the IT market’s leading manufacturers including Cisco Systems, IBM, HP, VMware, Citrix and Microsoft. Geographic territories include Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, Greensboro/Winston-Salem, and eastern North Carolina.

Ideal Candidate Preferences include:

  • A successful track record in IT sales in North Carolina.
  • Specific industry sales experience in healthcare, finance, insurance, legal, manufacturing, and/or government/education is a plus.
  • Experience selling Managed Services and\or Cisco advanced technology solutions is highly desired.
  • Four year degree preferred.
