CSP, Inc. is honored to have the opportunity to support and participate in the upcoming InterAct of Wake County’s Annual Fall Festival on Monday, October 24, 2016. Each year, InterAct hosts this event for the families they serve throughout the year. They collect new or gently used Halloween costumes and donations of candy and treats from their generous donors, volunteers and supporters within the community. The Fall Festival takes place the week before Halloween, so that the children will have the opportunity to select a costume to wear and keep for Halloween.
They have several fun stations and activities at the festival: A costume corner, cakewalk, snacks, fun house and craft corners and Trunk or Treat. Trunk or Treat is the highlight of the festival. Volunteers festively decorate their cars and handout treats to the children. CSP is collecting costumes, donating treats and decorating a CSP vehicle to use for Trunk or Treat. CSP’s staff volunteers will be handing out the treats and helping at the festival.
InterAct is a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault. InterAct fulfills this mission through the support of its volunteers and community. All services provided by InterAct are confidential and free of charge.
Margie Figueroa, CSP’s Business Manager stated; ”InterAct’s services provide support to families who are often in crisis. To be a part of a festival designed to give these families a special event where they can enjoy a wonderful family outing and put smiles on their children’s faces, is an ideal volunteer opportunity. I am proud that CSP and our staff have chosen this event as one of our community support efforts. The customer connection to InterAct makes it all the more special. We are looking forward to this event and showing our support for the families.”
