CSP, Inc. Was Honored to Participate in InterAct of Wake County’s Annual Fall Festival.

It was an honor to support and participate in InterAct of Wake County’s Annual Fall Festival on Monday, October 24, 2016.  Each year, InterAct hosts this event for the families they serve throughout the year.  They collect new or gently used Halloween costumes and donations of candy and treats from their generous donors, volunteers and supporters within the community.

The outpouring of support from the community for this event was quite impressive.  InterAct had 78 registered volunteers helping with the various booths at the Festival.  They distributed between 175-200 donated costumes to nearly 60 families.  There were approximately 150 children in attendance and each one received a costume of their choosing.  The 23 festively decorated cars for “Trunk or Treat” made this year’s festival a huge success.

Margie Figueroa, stated; ”InterAct’s Fall Festival is a heartwarming experience.  It allows the community and local businesses to support a special event that is specifically designed to give deserving families an opportunity to enjoy a family outing and put smiles on their children’s faces. It was great to see all of the fun, kid-friendly decorations and costumes.  This event was an ideal volunteer opportunity for our CSP, Inc. staff and the customer connection to InterAct makes it all the more special.”

InterAct is a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault. InterAct fulfills this mission through the support of its volunteers and community. All services provided by InterAct are confidential and free of charge.
