CSP Inc. Gives Back Though Memories for Marcus

Memories for Marcus

Day by day we get closer and closer to one of our favorite times of year – the holidays. As much as we enjoy the opportunity to relax and spend time with loved ones, it’s not the only reason we look forward to this season. It’s also incredibly important at this time of year to remember to give back to those who need it.

It’s a season for giving, and who better to support than our local WakeMed Children’s Hospital. That’s why, for years now, members of the CSP Inc. staff have participated in Memories for Marcus, a local event that collects toys and other donations to support the WakeMed Children’s Hospital.

Memories for Marcus was started to honor the memory of Marcus Figueroa, who tragically passed away at just 17-months-old. At the time, his parents donated the Christmas gifts they had already bought for him to WakeMed. Every year since, they have continued the tradition, growing the event from their own personal donations to a large community dinner with door prizes and a silent auction that raises thousands of dollars in support of the Children’s Hospital.

“To have something to put our energy towards absolutely helps,” says Margie Figueroa, Marcus’ mother. “And by helping other children, we are creating a legacy for Marcus.”

CSP Inc. is proud to play a small part in helping with Memories for Marcus every year by donating to the silent auction and taking part in the toy drive.
