Approximately 604,000 households don’t have enough to eat in North Carolina with almost 1 in 5 children throughout the state facing hunger on a regular basis. ^[1] Unfortunately, North Carolina is the 10th hungriest state throughout the nation. CSP, Inc. believes in giving back to the community all throughout the year, and during the holidays, we strive to help families in need as we spread a little holiday cheer. Thanksgiving was the perfect opportunity for us to make an impact as we provided dinner to two families.

Our team truly enjoyed making their holiday a little brighter with a delicious meal. We understand that food insecurity is more common than it should be with many individuals having a lack of access to healthy, balanced meals for their household. We know many children, seniors, and families throughout the state face food insecurity all throughout the year.

About WakeGOV’s Holiday Cheer Program

WakeGOV’s Holiday Cheer Program matches children, families, and seniors with sponsors throughout the community – enabling them to receive meals, gifts, and kindness for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Those in need of assistance may be nominated for the program by their social worker or case manager, and once selected, they are matched with a sponsor that will create a personal relationship with them.

Interested in giving back to those in need? Individuals, businesses, service clubs, and faith groups can sign up to be a sponsor here. Holiday Cheer is a wonderful cause that helps more than 1,500 children throughout the community have a brighter, happier holiday each and every season.
