CSP, Inc. and Staff Members Participate in InterAct of Wake County’s Annual Fall Festival.

It was an honor to support and participate in InterAct of Wake County’s Annual Fall Festival on October 27th.  Each year, InterAct hosts this event for the families they serve throughout the year.  They collect new or gently used Halloween costumes and donations of candy and treats from their generous donors, volunteers and supporters within the community.

The outpouring of support from the community for this event was quite impressive.  This year, InterAct had 74 registered volunteers helping with the various booths at the Festival.  They distributed 115 donated costumes to nearly 50 families, approximately 110 children attended and 25 festively decorated cars lined the lot for “Trunk or Treat”.  CSP, Inc. and staff collected costumes, bags of treats and decorated a car to participate in the festivities of “Truck or Treat”.  Their theme of “Down on the Farm” was a big hit with the children.

CSP’s Business Manager, Margie Figueroa, stated; ”This annual event is exciting for the families that InterAct serves. We are fortunate to have an opportunity to participate and see first-hand how important social service agencies; such as, InterAct of Wake County are to the community. It was great to see all the fun, kid-friendly decorations and costumes.  This event was an ideal volunteer opportunity for our staff and the customer connection to InterAct makes it even more special.”

InterAct is a private, non-profit, United Way agency that provides safety, support and awareness to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault.
