Happy New Year from all of us at CSP!  I trust you, and your families had a joyous holiday season. While admittedly cliché, I welcome the New Year as a time for thoughtful reflection and excited anticipation. As such, I would briefly like to update you on all that we have going on at CSP!

Looking Back…

CSP’s Mission Statement boldly declares that we would like to leave “our people, our customers, and our community in a better place.”  We take this mantra to heart and try to live it every day.  Therefore, I would like to touch on each.

Our People:

CSP’s Annual Christmas Party was a fantastic reminder of what’s truly important:  our family.  I am not a historian, but I am almost sure we broke the record for the number of infants and toddlers strutting around CSP!  There were rug rats everywhere.  It was a site to behold and a joy to experience.  We are all truly blessed.  Beyond celebrating these births, there were engagements, anniversaries, bucket-list trips, and the simple joys of life.  It was a great year for the CSP family.

Our Customers:

We are honored to work with each and every one of you.  Thank you for the partnership.  We also hope that we have made a difference in your world.  We believe in both delivering a premier customer service experience and also leveraging IT as a business enabler.  I hope you find this approach impactful to your business.  Please let me know if there are things you believe we can be doing differently to leave you in a better place.

Our Community:

As stewards of our community, it was humbling to see the CSP family give their time, money, and resources to so many philanthropic endeavors. Over the course of the year, CSP supported the following organizations and events:

  • Paying it Forward —  Easter Basket Giveaway
  • Wake County Meals on Wheels —  Lunch Delivery Program
  • Raleigh Rescue Mission —  Groceries To Go
  • Paying it Forward —  Backpack Buddies
  • Levine Children’s Hospital —  Eastwood Homes Charity Golf Tournament
  • United Methodist Retirement Homes —  Benevolent Care Golf Tournament
  • Cypress Glenn Retirement Community —  Purple & Gold 5K Fun Run
  • InterAct of Wake County —  Fall Festival
  • Raleigh Rescue Mission —  Groceries to Go
  • Boston Children’s Hospital —  Miles for Miracles (NYC Marathon)
  • Paying it Forward —  Christmas Angel Program

For an organization of 35 people, this is quite a list.  It’s a testament to our team and their hearts!  Thanks to everyone involved.

From a corporate standpoint, 2016 was a very successful year at CSP.  We made fantastic additions to our team and customer base.  We added seven new Managed Services accounts. This fits our target of steady, yet manageable growth. While growth is paramount, we never want to grow beyond our ability to continue to provide reliable support to our existing client base. Throughout the year, we also managed to enhance our team with some exceptional talent, optimize our service delivery processes, and innovate with new technologies.

Looking Ahead…

The beauty of a new year is that it gives us all an opportunity to evaluate our current position and build a roadmap to future success.  With that in mind, our cover story in the January newsletter is the importance of strategic IT planning.  While I understand that budgets are tight and IT can be seen as a reactionary cost center, a strategic IT plan is a valuable way to minimize your risk and normalize your spend.  We at CSP would be more than happy to help you develop this plan.

As we look ahead at CSP, expect to see IT Security as a common theme throughout the coming year.  The threats are continuing to grow, with even greater acceleration in the past few months.  To make sure we are giving our customers the peace of mind to know that they have sufficient protections to mitigate risk, we are investing in a much larger security portfolio.  We look forward to introducing you to these solutions in the coming months.

As always, thanks for your continued loyalty and support. We love serving you and look forward to partnering with you for continued success in 2017! Contact us at (919) 424-2000 or email us at info@cspinc.com to find out more.
