To be considered for the Corporate Philanthropy Award, the Triangle Business Journal asked nominees to include examples of their commitment to community involvement and charitable work. In preparation for this award, the CSP, Inc. team had the chance to reflect on all the amazing work they have done over the last year to help enrich their community and give back to the people who need it. CSP, Inc. is committed to staying actively involved with the community all year long and this award was a wonderful recognition of that commitment.

The philanthropic work that CSP, Inc. completed over the last year was varied and extensive. First and foremost, every holiday at CSP, Inc. serves as an opportunity to give back to the community in some creative way. Last year at Easter, the CSP, Inc. team raised donations for the ‘Paying it Forward’ Easter Basket Giveaway Program in Johnson county. At Halloween, the CSP, Inc. team decorated a car and attended the InterAct Halloween Fall Festival, where they rallied together to donate costumes and candy for children across Wake County. At Christmas, CSP, Inc. participated in multiple give-back programs including the WakeMed Foundation’s Memories for Marcus Annual Toy Drive & Fundraiser and the ‘Paying it Forward’ Christmas Angel Program – both of which help to provide a meaningful & memorable Christmas to children in need.

Even in between holidays, CSP, Inc. is always looking for ways to help take care of the community they love so much. Team members from CSP, Inc. serve as Meals on Wheels volunteers year-round, helping to deliver hot lunches to seniors across the city. The CSP, Inc. team is also actively involved with the Raleigh Mission – helping to stock their pantry by donating to the Groceries to Go program and putting together emergency sack lunches for their Lunches to Go program. Finally, CSP, Inc. helps to enrich the classroom experience for local children in need by donating school supplies to the ‘Paying it Forward’ Back-Pack Buddies program.

In between all the community giveback, CSP, Inc. likes to work in some opportunities for fun as well. However, when an opportunity to have fun can also provide a chance to give back to the community, CSP, Inc. never hesitates. Year round, the CSP, Inc. team participates in a variety of charity golf tournaments and marathons including:

  • The Levine Children’s Hospital Eastwood Homes Charity Golf Tournament
  • The United Methodist Retirement Homes Benevolent Care Golf Tournament
  • The Cypress Glen Retirement Community Purple & Gold 5k Fun Run for Alzheimer’s
  • The Boston Children’s Hospital Miles for Miracles Sponsorship in the NYC Marathon
